Possible to have cart icon in navbar?

I'm using the Wordpress Divi theme. I've tried just putting the button code, and just the button URL, as a custom button link but it doesn't work. Is there a standard way to do this?

That depends on your WP Theme and if/how you may be able to edit the navbar it provides. The basic code you'd need to add would look like this (where XXXXXX would be your E-junkie Client ID number):

Also be sure that every page has a copy of our cart Script code, which allows the cart to appear as an overlay within your page:

Thanks for the fast reply! Works perfectly as a link in-page. I just have to wrestle with the theme menu to make it happen in the navbar now.

Weird. As an in-page text link it works perfectly. Put it in the navbar and although it gives the popup it always shows an empty cart and distorted looking popup.

What I'd really like is the little shopping cart that displays top-right in the default popup. But a link will do. Surely this has come up before? It's hard to think of something more basic in e-commerce. It's also part of your shop demo.....

That sounds like a plugin or something else in your WP setup is using its own "lightbox" overlay to display the link's target URL within an iframe, rather than calling our own cart-overlay script.

That comes down to the distinction between a shopping cart vs. a storefront. For the FatFreeShop hosted storefronts in our site's Marketplace, we control the entire page layout and thus, as part of that layout, we can generate a cart icon with quantity, as you saw. However, when you're just using our Cart buttons within a site built independently of us, we can only control how the cart overlay appears when a button is clicked, so adding extra things to your own sales page(s) would be up to you.

That said, there is a way to display the cart quantity wherever you wish in your page, which can also be made into a clickable View Cart link, though any icon and/or text in that link would be up to you:

Thanks very much for the extra info. Seems that all that was needed was that extra code in the head. Having both lots there suddenly makes everything work perfectly. Thanks for getting back to me, this is now a perfect solution for me. Incredibly easy e-commerce system with a navbar presence. Excellent!
