My merchant card provider is hitting me with a surcharge until I verify PCI compliance through their vendor, SecuirityMetrics.com.
I use Authorize.net as my gateway so configuring it with ejunkie was easy. To get a passing grade (and avoid the surcharge) from security metrics, I need to fill out a questionnaire. Since i don't handle physical credit cards or look at credit card numbers, nor store them on my pc or on my site, I get the easiest questionnaire.
So the first issue that stumped me was this one asking about "Payment Application."
This was described like this:
"Payment Application
Payment applications are computer programs that store, process, or transmit cardholder data as part of authorization or settlement. These applications are purchased or licensed from a third party, and not developed by the merchant. Terminal-only payment solutions do not normally have applicable payment applications. Payment applications are normally found in payment solutions that use computers. To find the Payment Application name and version, you will need to look within the software itself, or contact your payment solution provider."
Stumped. What is the answer to this question? Please let me know.
Also, there's a pull down menu for 'shopping cart.' I entered ejunkie.com for that question, but it wasn't an option on the pull down menu (which must have had over 100 choices). You may want to contact www.securitymetrics.com and let them know about eunkie so you can be ceared with them and added on the pull down list.
More questions to come? I dunno. I'm on the first page of the 'easiest' questionarre. So please help me out and I'll continue along. Thanks.
