Paypal micropayments

Hello, i am testing e-junkie and i am interested in paypal micropayments.

I am confused, what steps do i have to follow?. Only the first one, every step, i think it is not very clear.

I just want to use my paypal business account for micropayments. It will be used just for micropayments.

Just one account, i will sell digital products and i will not sell other products.

So, do i have to follow every STEP? Or just the first one?

Not clear, not to me.

If you have both a regular PayPal account and a separate PayPal account for Micropayments, you can have us send your order totals under $12 to the Micropayments account while all other orders go to your regular PayPal account. In your E-junkie Seller Admin > Edit Profile screen, enter the PayPal Email for your regular PayPal account, then click Submit to apply changes. Then go into Seller Admin > Payment Preferences and enter your Micropayments email where indicated and click Submit.



If you only have one PayPal account which is set up for Micropayments and expect all your orders to be under $12, just enter the PayPal Email for that account in your Seller Admin > Edit Profile screen and click Submit.

What are this STEPS for?



I am a little confused.

Is just for a in-page payment experience ? or is it needed for every micropayment configuration?

Those steps are only required if you want to use the special "PayPal for Digital Goods" checkout flow. Setting up that service is NOT required for selling digital goods at all, nor is it required for using Micropayments; it's just a different checkout flow that can only be used for selling digital items such as downloads or key/serial/PIN/registration codes.



If you set up the PayPal for Digital Goods checkout flow and have also enrolled for Micropayments pricing with that, PayPal's end will automatically determine when their Micropayments rate would be to your advantage.



If you choose not to set up the PayPal for Digital Goods checkout flow, you can still use Micropayments; see my previous reply for details on that.



Regardless of any of the above, you can use E-junkie to sell digital goods with any level of PayPal service, whether or not you use Micropayments or PayPal for Digital Goods.
