We do use PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) to receive order details with completed-payment confirmation back from PayPal after a buyer finishes checkout, so we can process their order accordingly. We transmit our IPN requirements to PayPal for every order, and as of June 5th we completed the last update we needed for full compliance with PayPal's latest security requirements, so there's nothing you'd need to do about that.
However, it's possible you could have a manual IPN setting in your PayPal account that still needs updating. This might be an IPN Notification URL unrelated to E-junkie, or you may have manually entered an E-junkie URL there to re-enable IPN for your PayPal account, if they'd disabled that due to issues unrelated to E-junkie.
To check this, log into PayPal and go to Profile > Profile & Settings > My Selling Tools > Instant Payment Notifications > Update (or you can just click this link to jump there if you're already logged into PayPal). If you just see a button there that says Choose IPN Settings, you won't need to do anything; however, if you see a Notification URL there, and it's for e-junkie.com
, make sure it starts with https://
like so:
https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/ipn_ext.php
You can click the Edit Settings button there to update that if needed. If you see a Notification URL there that isn't for E-junkie, you may have entered that URL for a different service provider, so if you're still using them for non-E-junkie payments, you'd need to contact them to get their current IPN Notification URL; if you're not using them anymore, you can replace that URL with ours, as noted above.
