We sell software registration codes on e-junkie for a particular software product and would like to setup discount coupons where the coupon recipient can redeem only one registration code for one coupon.

Our intent is that we would allow the recipient to receive one "free" registration code for one discount coupon as we have the FLAT fee set equal to the price of the software.

As I have it setup now in test mode for myself, I can apply one coupon to the cart but then I can add any quantity of registration codes to the cart I want; i.e., 1, 3, 6, 10...etc. and the system spits these out in my return email.

Maybe this topic has been covered before, but is there anyway to setup the system for qty 1 registration code for qty 1 discount coupon. In effect the min = 1 and max = 1.

Thanks...

Product-specific discounts can only markdown the PER-UNIT original price of the relevant product by a flat amount, so the only way of preventing that discount from being applied to every unit in multi-quantity orders for that product would be to disable "Let buyer edit quantity" for the product itself.

Discounts for All Cart Items, can take a single flat amount off the buyer's order total, such as an amount equivalent to the price of one reg. code. Setting up a series of single-use codes like this would be like setting up online Gift Coupon codes as described here (except you wouldn't need to set up a Send Stored Codes product to sell the codes):

Guru,

Thank you for the above explanation. Your co-worker, Josh S, also was instrumental in finding a viable solution to my need, so the bottom line is "we have things working" !!

Thanks, again, for a fantastic service!

Aha, I just looked for Josh's reply, and I'd forgotten that any product with price of 0.00 (whether original price or marked-down to that) is locked-in at Qty.=1 in the cart; just thought I'd mention that here in case anyone with a similar need stumbles across this thread in the future.
