Just tried to upload a PDF with 238 pages DIN-A5, 12 MBI copied the button, tested the button.I filled in my name and email address for free check out.I downloaded the file and - no stamp with my name and email address on each page. What went wrong?
Make sure you have set up PDF Stamping correctly, and wait at least 15 minutes after uploading a file before you test downloading it with the Stamper:http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/selling-ebooks.htm
Thanks! Just sucessful tested.
Just curious... If the stamp only works fifteen minutes after purchasing, how do we keep buyers from downloading instantly upon purchasing since the ability to do so comes up right away? Or does it? I'm new here and haven't purchased anything for real so I'm assuming the download link is made available instantly just as mine was for my practice purchases.
Incidentally, my pdf stamping test purchase did not work out - I received an email telling me there was an error:This is a notification that for the transaction jg-m36dwocffe4bcd7, we were unable to notify your server at http://www.ejunkie.com/ecom/oplug.php?ej_stamp_pdf=true&pdf_allow_copy=y&pdf_allow_print=y as we we received the error: HTTP Error 301Any clues?
Ooops! I realize now that I misread your post. I'm the one who is supposed to wait the 15 minutes after uploading the file, not downloading it during the purchase. Please forgive, lol... It was like three or four a.m.
However.... I started from scratch, uploaded a brand new file and correctly entered the url, waited 20 minutes, and it didn't work. I got the email that said you could not reach my server with error code 301. So, is this a server issue?
Still no good. Here is my stamper url:http://www.ejunkie.com/ecom/oplug.php?ej_stamp_pdf=true&pdf_pwd=ok&pdf_allow_copy=y&pdf_allow_print=y
I would suggest trying to change the URL to our default PDF Stamping URL and see if that is able to stamp your PDF file:http://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/oplug.php?ej_stamp_pdf=true&pdf_allow_copy=y&pdf_allow_print=y&pdf_pwd=Remember to wait at least 15 minutes after uploading a file before you test PDF Stamping for a download of that file.
That's what it was! I got the first URL from ejunkie's pdf stamping download sample instructions. Those must be outdated. So, it finally worked but my stamp showed up about a centimeter lower than the sample one I saw. It looks a little tacky with my header being so close by. Do the stamps always get stamped in the exact same spot or does it depend on file size and formatting of pdf document? Thanks for all your help!
We have no way to alter the position of the stamp, but I think the spacing from the page edge does depend on the top margin that's set in your original file.
Yes! I just changed my book from being 6x9" to an 8.5x11 and now the stamp is PERFECT!Thanks so much!

You can also remain with the old size.I write my book in DIN-A5, that's about 6" * 8,5"and ths stemp it at the right position.I use for creating the PDFhttp://www.scribus.netOpen source DTP
