Yeah i thought they were legit also. But i cannot get any support from them at all. Have you had any success in selling the apps at all?

It looks like we have a few people having problems with smartapps....let's stay in touch to see how this plays out.....we need to alert ejunkie to this, so they can investigate for us.

Tyson, we need to know if these people are legit.....what can you do for us?

Yeah i just got an email from another person that is having the same problem with them.Would appreciate any help Tyson as i too think they should bei nvestigated. Thank You. lets all stay in touch about this matter.

I talked with smartapps support this am. They said they were experiencing technical difficulties with e-junkie. They were not aware of the post on this message board by e-junkie. I sent it to them. I have not heard anything back yet and my links on my portal site are still down. I also asked about the two tabs at the top of our pages that link back to e-junkie. The guy at smartapps said that he was looking into it and would be taking it to management immediately. That was 4 hours ago. I am waiting. I really wanted this to be the real deal, but I am reluctant to start any advertising until the site works and I am satistified this is not a scam. Keep posting please.

We cannot violate our Privacy Policy by disclosing anything we may know about any particular merchant, but if your links are now resulting in the message "Merchant, Product, Affilite relation, Affiliate percentage or the Hop link has been removed. Please contact the merchant." then this FAQ page will explain that message in more detail:

http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/faq.affiliates-removed.htm

E-junkie is only a software service provider, and unfortunately, sometimes some unscrupulous merchants may attempt to use our software to conduct scams without our knowledge. As soon as we catch wind of any such activity, we do put a stop to it by suspending their account with us forthwith, as any use of our service for illegal activity is a clear violation of our Terms of Service.

If anyone has paid any money to any merchant they suspect of scamming them, you should immediately file a complaint with your card issuer and/or the online payment processor (e.g. PayPal, 2CheckOut, ClickBank, etc.) who handled your checkout payment for the suspected-fraudulent purchase. Unfortunately, E-junkie is not a payment processor and does not ever handle any actual payment funds at any point in any transaction, so there is nothing we can do regarding refunds, as we had no direct role in any payments to begin with. Check your payment receipt email to see which service may have processed any suspect payments.

I called support about an hour or so ago & they said email was the best way to communicate but said they would call me back[ but they are very busy] if i wanted them to,i left my number along with my ID# & went on to say that people were discussing them all over the internet about them being a scam & if they are not i need them to call me with some support & assurance that they are legit.I hope i am wrong but i have a bad feeling concerning this.

I also signed up with smartappsdownloader last month in May. I cannot get anyone to respond to my emails for help in getting to the next level to make some actual money. I too am beginning to think that we got taken for a ride.

T.

I also signed up with smartappsdownloader on 5/27/09. Now my affiliate link is bad, just goes to a blank page with message, "Merchant, Product, Affilite relation, Affiliate percentage or the Hop link has been removed. I've called everywhere, left messages and emailed several support places and also same mess with the skyscraperads.com site.

I'm reporting these guys........this has the smell of a "boiler room" operation. They just keep on raking in the $$$$$ til they get shut down and then set up another "boiler room" somewhere else.

Marie

to your payment processor that processed your payments to them. I'm on the 2checkout.com site right now putting in my complaint. They have to investigate it and

get back to you.

Although our privacy policy prohibits me from disclosing any information we may have about any specific merchant, I can say that we can and do shut down the E-junkie accounts of any merchants who are found to be abusing our services to conduct illegal activity. Unfortunately, we can only suspend their account with E-junkie to prevent them from continuing to use our own software services; there is nothing we can do to block any of their other activities that do not directly involve E-junkie's software.

If you have paid any fees to a merchant you suspect of scamming you, look for your payment receipt email from when you paid their fee, and that email message should show you what online payment service they used to process your fee payment. Contact that payment service to file a dispute and request a refund. If you funded that fee payment with a credit card, you should also contact your credit card company to dispute the charges and request a chargeback.

If you wish to pursue legal recourse against fraudulent activity, you should probably contact your State Attorney General's office and/or the FBI.

Everyone needs to contact their payment processor when they first signed up.......if there are enough complaints, then I am sure they will investigate these guys......We all need to make sure we post once a day what we find out from these guys or the payment processor.

Agreed????

Hi everybody,

I just got off the phone with my payment processor "2checkout.com" and they have refunded all my money for the affiliate site ($39.00), the clicks2you.com marketing ($49.00), the skyscraperads.com banner ads ($23.00) and my first monthly hosting ($4.81).

I sent them copies of all my support email communications and phone numbers along with the original marketing email that i responded to, that i signed up through.....but, now when you go back to that first email and go to those links, guess what.....they are all inactive.

Anyway, 2checkout.com is investigating this whole deal. I also, went on google and searched for "is smartappsdownloader.com a scam?" and found others that have been thru what we are going thru right now and got their money back.

I to just got off the phone with 2checkout.com & they have refunded me the $49 from clicks2 you & the $23 from skyscraperads for advertisingassmartappsdownloader recommended. I CANNOT FIND A RECEIPT FROM SMARTAPPS for the $39 but i pd for all using my debit card & can't find a receipt can anyone tell me who they received a receipt from for the $39 . Thank you in advance.

If you used 2checkout.com for all your payments they will have a record of the transactions.

They (2checkout.com) can look it up by your email & name that you used when you did the purchase. Their records will show all 4 transactions connected to your name & email.

You also got an email from 2checkout.com for each transaction.

Also, you can go to their site and look up your own transactions yourself, the records are in their system. Just go to: 2checkout.com, click/contact information on top of site, then on that page - look to the left side and you will find the "locate your oder" link, click that and it asks for the following info. I copied and pasted the form below for you to see.

I just completed my refund from 2checkout.com, no problem just gave them my email address and they have already sent me my confirming emails on all three charges....That is certainly different, to be in a program that you actually get your money back....what's up with that????

2CheckOut is just an independent online payment processor, similar to PayPal; these services act as a middleman between you and the merchant, so when you checkout, you are actually paying the processor, and then the processor then pays the merchant.

I can't say for certain, but I might speculate that to maintain good PR and buyer confidence, 2CheckOut might simply be "reversing the charges" unilaterally on their own upon complaint, with or without the merchant's cooperation, and if so, they may be using their own methods to get those refunded funds back from the merchant in turn.

Also, many thanks to Marie for filling in some details to help others here. :^)
