In New York state internet retailers are required to collect sales tax at the rate of the jurisdiction within the state that the product is shipped to. And, of course, the sales tax rates vary by jurisdiction. Is there a way to configure e-junkie to collect sales taxes for jurisdictions within New York state? Does anyone running an e-junkie store in New York have suggestions for dealing with sales taxes?

You can specify Sales Tax rates on a state-specific or even zipcode-specific basis in Seller Admin > Cart Sales Tax & VAT Settings > Advanced Tax Settings. You can even specify a partial zipcode to apply a rate to all zipcodes starting with the partial code -- e.g., specifying 857,10.0 would apply 10% tax to all zipcodes from 85700 thru 85799.

Does anyone have a list that maps the New York State jurisdictions to actual zip codes?

We'd suggest contacting your state department of revenue to request a list of ZIP codes and their effective total tax rates. If you can provide that list to us, we have a way of distilling that down to a minimal list of tax-rate rules for partial and whole ZIP codes to paste into our Advanced Tax Settings. We actually did this for a seller in NY just over a year ago, but I don't know if the rates may have changed again since then, so it would be advisable to have us regenerate this list for you.
