I used to get my own thank you page after google checkout.I have reserached this problem in help, faq and troubleshooting but no help.

I am testing google checkout in shopping cart screen. Transaction goes through. Google successful message is displayed with option to go my web site. When I click on the link,it goes to e-junkie thank you page with following:

"Please check your email for further instructions about your product(s). Sometimes spam filters block automated emails. If you do not find the email in your inbox, please check your spam filter or bulk email folder. Please contact the seller for any questions."

I want my customers to go to my web site thank you page. In Admin->account preferences I have chosen option to go to my website thank you page. With paypal check out it works fine.

Can someone help ?

That will only happen if Google Checkout does not clear the payment at that moment and the transaction goes in "reviewing" state.

My customers are getting this about once every twenty downloads. I've read all the posts I can find about this error message - but this woman paid for her download using PayPal - not Google. I've tried resending the link; I've tried sending a free link, but she keeps getting this error message. She even sent a screen shot and it's the same one I keep seeing (as described above). What's really baffling me is the fact that she gets the same screen (or says she does) when clicking on the free download link. That sounds weird, and I'll double check, but the question remains: Why does she get this with the "legit" link?

I have to refund this lady's money because if I ask her to jump through one more "fix" she's going to go ballistic.

How can we fix this?

She'll get that message if google checkout does not immediately clear the payment and the payment is stuck in the manual review mode. In that case, once the payment clears, E-j will email her the download link.

She's not using google checkout - she paid with paypal. Would it work the same?

Yes, whenever the payment processor (Google/PayPal/etc.) does not immediately confirm back to our system that a payment was good and complete, then by default we do not offer any download link until that payment has completed.

Even for payment funding methods which should normally be instantaneous, PayPal often has lags in their system where their IPN (Instant Payment Notification) is delayed, so our system has no way of knowing those payments were complete until later. In those cases, we would not issue the download link until that IPN finally comes through.

If you wish to bypass this waiting for confirmation and just offer your download links immediately -- assuming all risk that a payment might not pan out after the download has already been fulfilled -- the setting is in your Seller Admin > Edit Account Preferences (this bypass setting works for PayPal payments only).
