Since many elements of the e-junkie site run as Flash Objects, e-junkie sellers wishing to access their account via Safari on the iPad will find a mostly blank page when you go to log-in.

Here is my simple workaround to access your e-junkie account from an iPad.

I purchased the "Photon Flash Web Browser" app, which loads flash websites remotely on their server, and then pushes the visual interface to your iPad.

It's a good bit slower than accessing it on a laptop or desktop, but completely functional. I mostly use it to view transaction/download logs and send free download links, but you can do everything available on a desktop or laptop.

There may be other options out there, but this was the one that I found, and it works just fine.

Thanks for the workaround tip! I'm sure many sellers may find that handy until we finish work on our new DHTML-based Admin that should work natively in iOS devices such as the iPad. :^)

18 days later

I downloaded the "Photon Flash Web Broswer" but am finding that it still doesn't work with E-Junkie. I'm still unable to log in on the iPad.

Edit: Got it to work. It's quite sluggish, but I can at least access the site.

my 2 cents:

Photon functions as a remote client, and does allow some work around, however there are some limitations such as scrolling through pop up windows/menus that are longer than the popup visible area, but it has been helpful with some on-the-road problem solving.

So, when does e-junkie start supporting DHTML as stated in above response over a year ago? It would be nice to manage my account from the iPad. i can do all but e-junkie for my biz from iPad...

After some setbacks and false starts in 2011, we hired an experienced new developer this past spring to help us build the new Admin project, so we have been making daily progress on that for some months now. I've already built the HTML templates for all but a few screens by now, and our new developer is hard at work writing the scripting that will make them interface with our existing back end. Once this project is complete and replaces our current, Flash-based Admin, it will become possible to manage your E-junkie account from Apple iOS mobile devices.

iPad access or not, e-junkie is still doing a fantastic job at fullfillment for my business.

If someone reading this thread was on the fence about using e-junkie because of iPad access, my 2 cents would be to use them for the bulletproof service and easy integration with everything else, and wait for the eventual iPad access as icing on the cake.

To follow up my original workflow: These days I've stopped using Photon for this purpose, and instead use JumpDesktop as a great iPad VNC client to do the whole remote desktop thing on one of my stationary machines (home or office).

Especially if you've had your browser remember your credentials, it's quite painless from the iPad this way, at least given the types of tasks I'm typically doing (usually verifying if a customer completed their download or not)

Here's another option:

I am able to manage my e-junkie from my ipad by using LogMe Free. I installed it on my ipad, PC and mac. It was very easy, needed no configuring, it's working great and it's free. Now I can leave sometimes, have a life and still take care of customers.

I've never had any other service as dependable as e-junkie. I will be excited to see your new admin interface when it's ready, but this is a good easy free workaround for me in the meantime. I love my e-junkie!

Can I say "Thank You!" I know it has been a very long time coming but it is also very welcome. This will streamline my work in so many ways. Logging in from various devices, using my keyboard completion and macro tools, etc. None of that worked before.

I especially like the consolidated options screens.

Just so you know I've posted under a couple of different names. Depends on which customer account I'm managing at any given time. Not an intent to obfuscate.

Seriously this will really help me a lot. I'll be testing it on an older Kindle Fire HD later this evening and will let you know. Always good to know what does and doesn't work. I don't have time to do an extensive test for you but rest assured if something isn't going to work it will usually not work for me. A curse I've lived with for decades.

Finally, at the risk of pushing my luck, if you all can get the Stripe integration going it will be very well received.
