I have a Add to Cart button with "variations which tell more about the product ordered" selected.
It's a text field which is currently not compulsory.
How to make it compulsory for the user to input something before purchase?

There's no function within our system to do that, but it should be possible to make that a mandatory field with some extra coding on your website. That could be something you can get help with from one of the experienced developers listed here:
