Latest Advice on DRM

I just published two epubs. I'm going to sell one on Amazon and other commercial sites. However, the other book isn't politically correct and would be banned. (It focuses on conspiracy.) That's why I decided to sell it on my website, and therefore through E-junkie.

I finally decided to publish it as a PDF, using the PDF stamping feature. I don't know how well that will deter pirates, but I love the feature in general.

However, if I want to make available as a traditional epub as well, is there any DRM strategy that 1) is at least reasonably effective, 2) is reasonably easy for both me and the customer to navigate, and 3) doesn't cost a fortune?

Unfortunately PDF Stamping only works on actual .pdf files, so it won't work with .epub files, and we don't have any other way to support DRM for that or other file types.

Generally speaking, DRM can only work well as part of a "closed ecosystem" or "walled garden" approach, where the same vendor controls every aspect of purchase, distribution, and viewing of the file entirely within their own software/systems from end to end, such as the Amazon Kindle system.
