We sell photo eBooks and have co-authors who are entitled to a percentage of every sale - is there a way to set it up so that 25% of each sale on that specific product is automatically paid to the co-author? The current affiliate program is designed to pay when a code is used to make the purchase which obviously makes sense so that you can monitor who sold what but in my case I need to pay a person on all sales of a single product.

Because we do not actually touch any of the funds you receive from sales we cannot allocate them to anyone else, even our affiliate program is simply keeping track of the percentages earned on referred sales, it does not pay anyone out.
If you need to pay a certain person a percentage of all sales on a particular item you would need to calculate that manually, by sorting your transaction logs by that product.
