Hi,

I had a problem with a customer last year who like to make purchases and immediately file a dispute claim afterwards. After he did this twice, I placed his email address and full name on my block list. Problem solved. A year later he came back to my site and tried again but the sale did not go through because he's on my block list. Yeeeeeaaaaaaaa! The payment still went through via paypal and that was immediately refunded.

I want to ban his IP address from my website. However, the Ejunkie transaction log doesn't give this information.

Is there a way to find the IP Address of this person through ejunkie? The money was deducted from his account and I promptly refunded him back. However, the transaction log doesn't show the sale even though it was not processed.

When we block a transaction, our system does not process the sale at all, so it won't show up in your E-junkie Transaction Log, which only lists orders we have successfully processed. Note this does not block them from completing checkout for an order, as we have no way of knowing who the buyer is, and thus cannot block them, until after they have already completed checkout. If you can find their original order which led you to block them, among that transaction's details you can find what their IP address was at that time; however, IP addresses are not permanently assigned to any particular individual or computer, so that would probably be useless for blocking future orders, which is why we do not support blocking transactions by IP address.

Ah yes, you make a good point.

Ok. I understand. Thanks for the reply.

Cool. This is very useful information. I also have had issues with a customer filing frivolous complaints.
