Hello,

Im having some issues with the internation shipping calculator. For Ex, I have everything set at flate rate charges for my items. If they order 2 items , the domestic shipping comes out to be $17.49, but International comes out to be $48. I know its not going to cost $48 to ship Internationally, so Im worried Im losing customers for this.

Can someone give me some advice or help me out? It seems that International calculation is very skewed and I need to fix it ASAP!

When I mean International, Im referring to shipping to Canada, sorry I forgot to mention that!

By "flat rate charges", I infer you mean that you used our suggested technique of having the per-oz. rate set as 1.00, with the per-item shipping cost being set as the "weight" of each item (e.g., $1.00 per oz. X 17.49 oz./item = $17.49 shipping per item). In this case, you would set the International per-oz. rate as some multiple of your Domestic rate. E.g., if your rates to Canada run, say, 20% higher than your Domestic rate, then your Int'l rate is 120% (or 1.20 times) of your Domestic rate, so you would set your Int'l per-oz. rate to 1.20. 25% higher would be 1.25, double the rate would be 2.00, etc.

Yes, I have used the suggest technique of having the per-oz. rate set as 1.00, with the per-item shipping cost being set as the "weight".

In the shipping preferences, the Domestic and International is set to "0", and my zipcode is showing. Is this correct? That way when I can fit more than 1 of any item in, it charges a bit more for the shipping, than if I left the zipcode blank, and added "2" of and item to a flat rate package, the cost stays the same.

So, if the "Domestic" box is set to "0", do I need to set the "International" Box to lets say........"0..20"?

Seller Admin > Cart Shipping Settings is the only place where you can set the Domestic per-oz. rate to 1.00, and you would also set the Int'l per-oz. rate there to whatever multiple of Domestic you want (e.g. 1.20 for 20% more than Domestic). Having the Domestic and Int'l rates set there should override any additional USPS charges, but leave your zipcode blank to be sure USPS rates are disabled. All other shipping figures (package weights and costs, handling) should be 0.00; also set Packaging Capacity in the product's config to 1.
