I am at my wits end today. I need to change my shipping rates. I sell a product that comes in 4 packs sizes, viz. 1,2,3,or 6.

Each item is a separate entity in my e-junkie account and has a set price and I need to add a postage charge to each item.

I post worldwide and this is the problem. The Royal Mail in the UK has postage charge bands based upon weight and destination.

The destinations break down as UK, Europe, Aus and NZ, Rest of the World and within each of those four bands we have a different price for each of the items I sell as they each fall into a different weight/charge band.

I am totally lost as to how I set this up. I am sure the cart can do this but how? Can someone please help me I would be very happy if someone could.

It appears you may have done this already, but to confirm that, and in case anyone else with a similar question may encounter this thread, what you describe can be accomplished by setting up a series of country-specific shipping rules.

To add shipping rules, go to Seller Admin > Cart Shipping Settings and click Next. Here you can define a series rate-calculation rules that would apply to a buyer's cart when it meets certain conditions, such their selected shipping country and other criteria such as the total min./max. order weight, item quantity, and/or item price total.

You can set up rules for All Countries that would apply to the majority of your chosen Shipping Destination countries, then add rules for specific countries that would override your All Countries rules. For example, these rules could apply a Flat rate per order within certain min./max. ranges of total order wight (as it appears you have already done), or apply a rate per weight unit (per ounce or gram) if you specify per-item weights in the products' settings, or even just a flat rate per item (US-based sellers can also use USPS and/or UPS Ground rate calculations).

This help page explains our shipping calculation settings in detail:

We'd always be glad to provide more specific instructions if a seller could explain to us in detail just what shipping charges they'd need to calculate.

Thank you so much. I was experimenting this afternoon and then I stumbled upon what you said, quite by accident, the thought just came to me. It is working vewry well with one exception. The values are all there for Australia but it is not showing the charge. I'll play again tomorrow and see if I can get it working. Just seems odd, this one country but I am happy the rest are good.

I could not replicate the issue you described with Australia, so perhaps you have corrected that already. Looking at your shipping rules just now, I noticed that some countries (Estonia/EE, Macedonia/MK, Serbia/RS, San Marino/SM) only have 3 rules whereas most others have 4, so those countries appear to be missing a rule for one of the 4 weight ranges you set up. Also, the Faroe Islands/FO have only 1 rule for 0-85g.

If you want to double-check the rates you'd set up, note that when you select a rule in the menu, the rate calculation method for that rule is shown just below the menu. Once you've selected a rule in the menu, you can use your keyboard up/down arrow keys to scroll through the menu to review those rates fairly quickly.

Many, many thanks for your kind help with this. Greatly appreciated.
