Hiya

I'm new to E-Junkie, so this may sound a little newb.

However, I'm having trouble getting the redirect links to work. I have a website about acne and the vendor I am an affiliate for sells acne products.

All the pages on the vendor's site work. So I know that is not the problem.

I want to use some of the vendor's blogs as a reference/link. I don't all the time want to link straight to the home/sales page.

I can't seem to get the &ua_redirect to work.

For example - I want to link to - http://thelovevitamin.com/52/the-cause-of-acne/

using - &ua_redirect.

so I get - https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?cl=177775&c=ib&aff=177765&uaredirect=http://thelovevitamin.com/52/the-cause-of-acne/

(BTW. This is the exact example used on the vendors website) but it doesn't work. So wrong ID's don't count.)

I can't link to any page other than the homepage website. And, obviously I've been putting my own affiliate ID numbers in.

Any suggestions? I know I may have to contact the vendor.......

I don't think that &ua_redirect= parameter is anything we support at our end, so we're probably just treating it as an unrecognized parameter and passing it thru as-is to the merchant's landing page -- i.e., when an affiliate hop link redirects a buyer to the merchant's landing page for that link, any extra parameters the affiliate has added to their link that we don't recognize would just get appended to the end of that landing page URL, where custom scripting in the merchant's page could recognize and do custom things with it.

This means &ua_redirect= may only work on a specific merchant's site, so you'd need to contact that merchant to figure out why it's not working for you, and you could not expect it to work on hop links for any other merchant's affiliate program. Ordinarily, merchants would simply enable product-specific hop links in our system if they want to offer their affiliates referral links that redirect to particular products' sales pages.

Cheers, I'll get in touch with them. Thanks for the quick response!
