Currently, if I need to resend the download to a customer, I have to:

1. go to the transaction pop-up screen

2. Enter the customer email address and do the search

3. copy the transaction ID

4. go back to the admin area

5. click "Reactivate expired links"

6. paste in the transaction ID

7. Click Submit

The cumbersomeness of this notwithstanding (for example, why is there not simply a "reactive this download" link in the transaction list?), there is no way to re-activate download links for people who were given a freebie and subsequently added themselves to the mailing list.

Or is there?

Hi Mike,

Free download links that you send out get their own separate log rather than showing in your transaction log. If you needed to reactivate one of those links for some reason you could do so with the same process, getting the transaction ID from the Free Download Log. You can also send out another free link, of course. :)

If you are finding that you need to reactivate download links more often than is convenient for you, have you considered adjusting the number of allowed attempts or time you are allowing for your download links?

Are free updates logged there as well? It appears so. It would be nice f there was a difference between a free link manually sent, vs a free link sent as part of an upgrade campaign. Food for thought.
