How do I DISABLE the Common Affiliate Program?

I'm a publisher and I have a product of which I don't want to pay affiliate commissions for. I've previously set up a common affiliate commission. But I want to disable that now.



I believe from what I've read that that is the only way to turn off the affiliate commission rewarding for a specific product.



How can I turn this off? Or how can I make it so an individual product does not have affiliate commissions awarded?

The only way to exclude any product(s) from affiliate commission would be to set your Common share percentage to 0%, then you'd need to Setup Product-Specific Affiliate Programs to specify a share % for each product you DO want granting commissions.



BTW, you don't also have to enable product-specific hop links; you can still have just a Common Hop Link if you'd rather keep the links simple for your affiliates. Regardless of what kind of hop link a buyer follows, the referring affiliate would earn your product-specific percentage on sales of those products (the common percentage only applies to products that don't have a product-specific percentage).

I did this, but affiliates who are being rewarded with higher commissions still make sales.



For instance these super affiliates are getting 10% more than standard affiliates. As a result they're getting 10% commissions.



I'd really like to be able to have certain products not be part of the affiliate program at all. But at the moment that doesn't seem possible because of this flaw in your system.



Any comments or ideas about this?

Aha yes, if you are granting some affiliates an extra percentage, that gets calculated on the order total rather than any specific product, so there's no way to exclude any products from that. However, affiliates may reasonably expect at least a nominal commission for generating any sales that wouldn't have happened at all without their referral.
