Google Wallet Setup on e-junkie

Google Checkout will no longer be supported Nov 20, 2013. So, I signed up for Google Wallet. After you complete the sign up process, Google displays a form similar to this...



Seller Identifier: <20 digit number>

Seller Secret: <23 alpha numeric string>

API callback:



So, I entered the e-junkie https://www.e-junkie.com/gc/<YOURCLIENT_ID>/ResponseHandler.php- it API callback.



Now, the Seller Secret = Google Merchant Key. Good right :)



But, the Seller Identifier <> Google Merchant ID.



Has anyone that used Google Checkout updated their e-junkie with the new Seller Identifier, and verified that it works?



It's getting close to the end of Google Checkout, and I would like to get this taken care of.

Our existing Google Checkout integration should continue working as-is with Google Wallet for Digital Goods beyond November, using the Seller Identifier in place of the Google Merchant ID.



We plan to have something in place to disable Google as a payment option when tangible goods are being ordered, as Google Wallet will only function for digital goods after November. We don't anticipate that any merchants will need to change anything within their accounts if they are only selling digital goods.



BTW, just in case you have not already done so, be sure to replace <YOUR_CLIENT_ID> in the API callback with your client ID number, which is available via Seller Admin > View Account Summary.

@E-JunkieMonster. Thanks for your detailed response. So, on November 20- I plan to update my e-junkie Google Merchant ID field with the new Seller Identifier. If I update that field now, do you think it will work now?



I use e-junkie to sell digital goods and it works perfectly with PayPal and Google Checkout. But, I'm interested in switching to Google Wallet since the deadline (for Checkout) is approaching.

The switch over may not be complete on Google's end, so you can try changing over now, but you may need to switch back to Google Checkout until November.

The Google Wallet Seller ID and Seller Secret will not work in our existing Google Checkout Merchant ID and Key fields. We plan to notify our sellers using Google Checkout when we have new settings suitable for Google Wallet available to use. Until then, you can continue to use your Google Checkout settings as before.

I just signed up with my google wallet account. and i dont have any pervious google checkout account. Now the new google wallet account is 20 digits long. so when i click on the buy button on my website using google checkout it gives me this error.

Malformed URL component: expected id: (\d{10})|(\d{15}), but got ...

can anyone tell me how do i fix this.

Unfortunately we've learned that the transition from Google Checkout to Google Wallet is not going to be anywhere near as straightforward as we had previously believed back when this thread started. We've been investigating the issue more closely and there are two major problems with going forward on Google Wallet... one is that we'd have to start the entire integration process from scratch and the other is that the service would only cover a limited number of goods unlike other payment processors.



Due to this we're looking to bring in other entirely new processors rather than continue with Google's limited service, so at this time it does not appear that you will be able to use Google Wallet at all.

A question for the E-Junkie Crew. Ref: Tangible Goods. Our non-profit uses Google Checkout for supporters to make donations for different projects. Is there a way to set these up so they will be like digital goods since nothing is being shipped to them? I want to make sure if Google Wallet will still work for us. Thanks for your help.

Google has announced that Google Checkout will be retired effective November 20th, 2013:

Until that date, buyers can continue using their Google Wallet accounts to pay sellers using Google Checkout, but Google has already closed Google Checkout to new seller enrollments by now. In response to this news, we will be upgrading our integration with 2CheckOut to start fully supporting cart checkouts with 2CO via E-junkie's standard Add to Cart and View Cart buttons; Development has already completed this upgrade, which the rest of our staff will be testing this week to recommend any final tweaks before we take it fully live for everyone before Nov. 20th. While Google will be offering a new payment service called Google Wallet for Digital Goods, we discovered the only thing it has in common with Google Checkout is the name "Google", so adding support for it would be much the same effort as adding support for any other new payment processor, starting from scratch. Considering the limitations of this new payment service, we decided to prioritize upgrading our 2CO integration before we tackled Google Wallet integration. We do also plan to eventually support Google Wallet for Digital Goods, and we have some ideas about how we might even be able to support tangible and other non-digital products with that, but we would not be able to add support for it before Google Checkout is deactivated.
