I would like to use Google Universal Analytics - is there a way I can "turn off" e-junkies built in code for google analytics?

If you don't use our version of the GA tracking code on your site, you would not be engaging our built-in GA support at all, so in that case you'd be welcome to use Universal Analytics tracking code in your site and thank-you pages instead. I gather there's no way to revert to legacy GA once you enable UA, so take that into consideration.

Bear in mind this would give up your ability to track cart button clicks and use Ecommerce Tracking, which is really only possible in our thank-you pages when we're generating the Ecommerce Tracking code from our end.

If I use the self hosted thank you page, do you still send the code to that thank you page?

We can only generate Ecommerce Tracking code in thank-you pages we generate at our end, not in any thank-you page on your own site.

If you embed our thank-you page content in an iframe inside your site's thank-you page, we can generate Ecommerce Tracking code in the embedded page, but this case would be unreliable, as it would depend on third-party cookie settings in the buyer's browser.

It'd be better if you can add support for universal analytics instead of forcing customers to use legacy code.
