Hi,

We've just had a google payment that's not triggered a download link.

The payment appears to have been accepted - or at least not cancelled. Any suggestions as to the problem ?

The client appears to be genuine as they called us in the UK from the USA.

Cheers

David

ah, it turns out that the payment has been placed under 'customer review'. I suspect it will fail but we'll see.....

I may be wrong here... but in order to be (re)directed to the download page after paypal payment has been made.. the user needs to actually/physically click on the 'COMPLETE TRANSACTION' link on the paypal page after payment has been completed..

if they just leave (navigate away) or close out.. they will never get directed to the downloads. (this is of course assuming everything in the admin panel is set up correctly)

Do you also send them an email with a link to download their item(s)??

(I do this as a secondary measure in case people forget to click the COMPLETE TRANSACTION link

>>Do you also send them an email with a link to download their item(s)??

Yes, a emailed link is triggered from ejunkie separately from the page they are directed to when the payment is completed.

I've noticed GC is rejecting a lot of transactions recently - actually more than it's approving !

DOH!..

I just noticed you said GOOGLE.. (sorry).. I immediately thought PAYPAL in my head.

(sorry)

Sorry for the delay in responding to your post. At this point I would say that if the payment does go through on Google's end but the buyer still does not get a thank you e-mail so they can access the thank you/download page, let us know, along with the transaction ID so we can take a look at it.

Thanks.

The confusion is being caused by google 'seemingly' accepting the payment, but then delaying \ refusing it as 'High Risk'. The problem is that the client is apparently not informed of this by google (or us?) so we look as if we've taken the payment, but not delivered.

Is there any way of triggering a 'payment refused' email ?

We have no way of doing that from our end; GC does not even inform us about an order unless and until the buyer's payment is completed, so if a payment is held as Pending for review, or voided as likely-fraudulent without payment ever being completed in the first place, our system has no way of knowing that order was ever placed to begin with.

E-junkieGuru - I suspected as much. Shame GC doesn't handle their side a little better.
