I'd like to track e-junkie sales in Google Analytics. However, I already have my GA code installed and can't use e-junkie code.

This is usually done through a thank you page on your domain, but I need to use the download link provided by e-junkie and host the file on e-junkie.

So, I should use the iframe embed, but this means that I should use a common thank you page for all my products. I now have a product using the e-junkie page and don't want to redo that product funnel.

How can I do?

Yes, thanks. But what about the other product I already have online.

If I activate the common thank you page the product specific settings should be overriden from what I understood.

I was setting up the thank you page and an idea came to my mind.

My main problem is that I can't use the e-junkie tracking code. So I need to use a thank you page to track goals.

However, I only need that the user lands to the page, not that the download link is on that page.

So, won't it work if I send the user to a product specific thank you page (with some text) and send him/her the link via email?

This would allow me to use product specific pages and not require to add the iframe.

First, bear in mind you can paste the standard GA tracking code into your E-junkie-generated thank-you pages. Just go to Seller Admin > Account Preferences > Common Thank-you Page HTML. Whatever code you paste in there would be added to the end of every thank-you page we generate for you, regardless of which item(s) the buyer purchased.

If you still prefer to redirect to a thank-you page on your own site, yes the Common Thank-you Page URL would override product-specific Redirection URLs, which cannot be used with Download products anyway. Product-based Redirection is primarily intended for granting buyers access to premium online content they have paid for, such as an exclusive article, pay-per-view video, members-only site, etc. -- not as redirection to a mere thank-you page.

The instructions on this page have been carefully tailored to help ensure that your buyers will most likely view your site's thank-you page at some point:

E.g., if they do not proceed to your site's thank-you page after checkout because they failed to click the Complete Purchase button, the link in the thank-you email message we send them would lead back to your site's thank-you page.

Thanks.

So, to track sales with the add to cart/view cart button, is it better to use your custom GA code on my page or my GA code on your thank you page?

If you wish to track cart activity you will need to use our code instead of the code GA provides. If you are using your own thank you page you will need to include our code there as well.

However, if you are using our code and using our own thank you pages instead of one of your own then you do not need to add our code to our thank you pages, we'll do that automatically. That means you can use our pages, customize them on a per product basis, and potentially get around the problems you are currently having with the iframes in your own page.
