I'd like to give a discount to the people who share on Facebook, Twitter, via email and so on my sales page. I know that there are plugins that do that, but not for e-junkie.

I'd like not to simply give a discount code to the sharer, since he/she could give it to someone else without requiring a new share.

Maybe I could create several variants of the same product with different prices, and then sell a variant based on the number of social shares:

full price 100

shared on one social network 90

share on two social networks 80

and so on.

Would it be possible to create such a plugin?

Issuing single-use Discount Codes would be the best way to accomplish this.

When you set up each discount, you can paste in a list of Discount Codes, so when you Submit the new discount, a series of identical discounts will be created -- one for each code in the list you pasted. If you also set this up with Max. Use Count = 1, each code in the list would be valid for only a single use, making it futile for anyone to share their code with others after they've used it.

Be sure to save a separate record of each Discount Codes list in a separate text file if you need it for reference, because the list of Discount Codes you paste in will not be retained in a list format in our system once you Submit the new discount.

Thanks for the answer, I totally missed the max use count. Let me see if I understood right.

I should:

-insert a list of discount codes in the edit E-junkie cart discounts page

-set max use count to 1

-give a discount code from the list through a script to anyone who shares on a social network the sales page.

However, what happens when the discount code list ends?

Will I be notified or will do I have to check manually?

You would need to manually check the list of codes to find out when you are nearing the end of the list.
