Getting the Gift Certificate code to the intended recipient

I followed the directions on this site to create Gift Certificates using stored codes. However, after the purchaser / gifter buys the Gift Certificate, I would like the Gift Certificate code to be automatically sent to the giftee / the person for whom the gifter bought the Gift Certificate.



Is there any way to do this? The only way I can think of is to instruct the gifter to enter the giftee's email address during check out rather than his or her own email address, but this seems a bit roundabout, and the gifter may misunderstand the directions.



Also, in general, is it possible to have the confirmation email sent to multiple email addresses rather than just one?



Finally, the E-Junkie documentation states that: "The following variables will be appended to your specified Redirection URL with standard HTTP GET syntax:" One of the variables listed is "key - code sent to the buyer [if applicable]" However, when I make a test purchase of a Gift Certificate, this "key" variable does not show up in the URL of my Thank-You page hosted on my site. Is the key variable only for Generated Codes, or what?



If you can help me with any or all of these issues, please let me know.

Sorry, we have no way to send an email to anyone but the buyer, who can simply forward their thank-you email to the intended gift recipient, or even just write the coupon code in a greeting card. Typically, the buyer doesn't even manually enter their email address anywhere during checkout; we just use the email from their payment account settings (e.g. their PayPal login email) to ensure delivery, as that would be a known-good email address for that particular buyer. If the buyer could enter a gift recipient's email, what happens if they make a typo, enter the wrong email, etc.?



Note that the 'key' variable is only appended to product-specific Redirection URLs; it is not appended to a Common Thank-you Page URL.
