Is there any way to see a customers address (for tax purposes) but not force them to enter their zip code on the first page of checkout?



It requires the cart to be updated, which is very annoying because they enter the zip, then if they do not click "update car", it kicks them back and makes the customer re-enter the zip code, then update cart, then click the checkout button.



Problem is that if the zipcode is not required, then PayPal will not show me the buyers address, and I don't know which customers are from the state that I need to collect sales tax from...
