Hello, I'm considering e-junkie to sell MP3 audio files form my site. Is it possible to deliver digital files in a $0 transaction? Also, does the recipient get logged into the database for future newsletters?

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes, you can price a download product at 0.00, so if the order total in the buyer's cart is 0.00, they can use our cart's Free Checkout -- see more details here:

If the buyer checks the opt-in to "Receive product updates and newsletters" during their Free Checkout, they will be added to the Buyer Group list we maintain for the product(s) they ordered.

Thanks! That is a powerful feature to introduce folks to a paid catalog through a free offering.

I see it is limited to 100 checkouts per day, though. That would be a show stopper for me. What if I opted for a pricing level that allows for me to host my own digital products? Could I then increase that number of allowable free checkouts/day?

We plan to adjust our subscription plan levels to include a higher Free Checkout limit with larger plans. Meanwhile, if you contact us with a max. number of Free Checkouts you expect to need on a daily basis, we can have Development manually adjust your limit, though we may ask you to upgrade to a larger plan level to cover our overhead in providing that many downloads.

Some other approaches you might consider are presented here:

When you send a mailing out for a product update, I assume that they are able to download the update at no charge?

Will the pdf stamping, etc. be on the product update too just like the older version?

Thanks,

Doug

Not all my products are showing up on the product update drop-down menu. In reading about this I came across the following:

NOTE: Products will be unavailable to send Updates for if they are set to Send Stored/Generated Codes, or are using Inventory Control, or are using the Send Payment Data to a URL (Payment Variable Information URL) feature. You can send Updates for such a product by temporarily disabling those features in the product's settings, then re-enable them if necessary after sending the Updates.

My products are generally ebooks. Why would I need to have those boxes checked on those products? What's the purpose of :

-- Send Stored/Generated Codes

--Inventory Control

--Send Payment Data to a URL, etc.

Thanks,

Doug

If you are using our PDF Stamping feature then you will be using the Send Payment Data to a URL feature to allow our system to stamp the buyers' data in the PDF.

If you are using our Stamping feature then you may want to consider using our discount feature to send individual discount codes to each previous buyers so they can go through our free checkout process to get their update. This will allow the eBook to still be stamped but will take more time to setup and send out:

What is the "Send free download link/code used for? Would it be similar to using a discount code?

Thanks,

Doug

You would use "Send free download link/code" to send a free download link to someone manually, and/or to send a code for a product which issues codes (such as PIN/key/license/registration codes). The email address you specify would receive the code or download link directly, without having to go through a cart or checkout, by receiving the same thank-you email message that an actual buyer would typically receive for the selected product after their payment was completed.
