When I test my downloads I'm sent to the free checkout page and at the bottom is a checkbox that says:

"Sign-up for product updates and newsletter."

I will be offering free sewing tutorials through e-junkie in the future (rather than posting the entire thing on my blog) and I want to capture email addresses if people check this box.

My question is...is there a report generated by checking this box? I've checked it in the past when testing my downloads and don't see where the output of this checkbox is going. I'm I overlooking it? Would something appear here in my account with a list of email addresses of people who clicked the box?

Thanks, but I'm not sure that is what I'm looking for...

I want to collect email addresses only from people who opt-in by checking the box on the free checkout page. Unless these people opted in somewhere else? I don't automatically add customers to the email list. I only add them with direct permission.

I wasn't aware they were offered an option to be added to a mailing list. I can't think of anywhere during the checkout process they would be given the option. Maybe I'm missing something?

Can I insert a screen shot here?

During a free checkout or if you are using PayPal Pro or Authorize.net, buyer will be given the checkbox at the bottom of the checkout page allowing them to choose to join your mailing list. If you are using PayPal Standard the buyer is automatically added to your mailing list, this is because there is not a way for us to offer the option while using PayPal Standard.
