Is it possible to have free shipping on some items and a flat shipping rate or rates on others? All items ship vis USPS to the US only. International orders are on a case by case basis and will not apply to these.

Right now if you add a free ship item and a pay ship item or just a pay ship item to the cart it is fine. When you add free ship items only it's charging the flat rate and we don't want it to.

Anything that can be done? Thanks

Closer to what we need but ran into another problem. Some of our items that are pay to ship are usually bought in multiple quantities.



They might get 4 of one color and 4 of another. Sometimes 20+. We would like the flat rate to remain constant no matter the quantity. buy 1, shipping is $2.49, buy 20, shipping is $2.49.



Suggestions?

There is a way to do that, provided that the flat rate for items that charge shipping will be consistent across all items.



For this to work you would set the weight of all free shipping items to zero, and set the weight of items which charge shipping to 1. Then create rules with the following settings, ignoring any not mentioned:



For orders which do not have any shipping costs:

Shipping Rate Calculator: Flat

Shipping Amount: 0.00

Country: US

Min Weight: 0

Max Weight: 0.9



For all other orders:

Shipping Rate Calculator: Flat

Shipping Amount: 2.49

Country: US

Min Weight: 1

Max Weight: 0 (this means no upper limit)
