E-JunkieGuru, in this post (http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/4718#post15736) you state, "[Users] can simply click the "Click here" link we provide, and their computer should then ask them what they want to do with the download."

That was from 2010, so perhaps things have changed? Because I'm not seeing that in my testing.

I'm selling large video files. (.mov files that are approx 250MB each, and hosted on Amazon S3.)

On Mac, all browsers (Chrome, Safari, and Firefox) clicking "Click here" opens into new tab and plays the file in Quicktime in the browser. Given that that files take 5 - 10 mins to download, I can forsee quite a few support emails that I'd much rather avoid.

Here's a short video of the issue: http://screencast.com/t/9qrU4tWD

Very much appreciate your suggestions on how to resolve this.

Thx!

Good news: I solved my problem. On the first page of Adding a New Product, I needed to choose "Single File Download" instead of "Redirection". Because I was hosting the files externally, I thought redirection made more sense. But then I found this post (http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/4570#post15179), and realized my error.

Back to adding products!
