This is a weird one:

Since Google changed their algorithm, my website (www.keynotopia.com) no longer shows up as the first result when people search for "keynotopia" (my brand).

Instead, an eJunkie affiliate link is showing up as the first result, with a page title saying "Keynotopia - E-junkie Shopping Cart for selling downloads ...". It eventually redirects to my website, but 1) it doesn't show the correct info in the search results page and 2) the affiliate gets a cut every time someone clicks on the first search result.

AFAIK, the affiliate isn't doing any link tricks on Google. He's just showing a single ad in a very low traffic website.

Did this ever happen to anyone here? Any suggestions?

Many thanks!

    link

About all we can suggest is contacting that affiliate (ID 136638) to find out just what they're doing to make their link so successful; I'm pretty sure they'd need to have their link posted to many sites far and wide, so maybe they bought a run of advertising or something. You might also find out that their link simply disappears from Google or gets downgraded a week or so from now, as Google is constantly tweaking their algorithm.
