What you suggest could very well be the case; as we said in the post E-JunkieChef linked, the item name must match exactly.
Please remember that we can only offer advice for officially-supported purchase situations -- namely, orders which originate from our own cart or purchase buttons, or from eBay auctions. We really have not tested any other scenarios and cannot predict what obstacles you might encounter, so it's really up to you to troubleshoot and figure things out for yourself in those cases, if it's even possible to accomplish at all. We have provided a courtesy post (linked above) describing what we think ~should~ work in untested scenarios, but again, there may be unpredictable factors we cannot account for (such as characters disappearing from the item name at some point in your process!).
