We've been using that term to describe our cart for years now, to differentiate us from the majority of competing e-commerce solutions that are typically massive, complex, bloated, all-singing-all-dancing software packages that the average independent businessperson of modest technical skill tends to find too overwhelmingly complicated to handle on their own. That's our target user demographic, so we started using the term "fat free" to convey the idea that our service is simple, lean, and easy to set up and manage.
