E-junkie ecom/box.js causes web site to scroll down and then won't let scroll back up

Hi,



When I add Add to Cart buttons, all works fine. But when I add a View Cart button, our web page (http://www.glacierboats.com) loads normally ...then just when it finishes, it scrolls downward a little bit and hides some of the top content. I found, by eliminating various lines of the HTML, the it's the <Script> tag containing the .../ecom/box.js script in the View Cart button code that causes this. box.js is outside of my control. You need it, else the View Cart HTML code will not open an overlay showing your cart content ...but it messes up my web site. Anyone know of a work-around for this? I don't see a non-javascript version of the View Cart code that I can try...

PS: At my web site above, the cart buttons are NOT there right now ...not until this issue can be resolved, so sorry, you can't try it to see it...

Sorry for the delay. It is hard to say what the exact issue is. We would need to see the page with the problem to figure it out. If you can setup a test page with the button codes on it and send us the URL so we can take a look, we can determine the problem. Other than that, you can try and move the javascript section of our View Cart code to either the top of the page before any other javascript you may have or at the very bottom, after your other code, in case the problem is a conflict between our code and other javascript you have on your page.



There is a check box on the page where you get the button codes to Get Javascript Cart button. If you remove the check mark the buttons will not have javascript in them and the cart will open in a new page, not in the overlay cart.

Yes ... I had the same thoughts. I moved the Script tag that contains the box.js source in it to the top and bottom of the web site and no change ...same behavior. I was wondering if the box.js include is generating some HTML that applies styles, even without displaying the shopping cart? Or perhaps modifies existing styles? But since only the 'View Cart' button is being displayed, there are no styles being applied and the button by itself (without the box.js include) does NOT show the issue... it makes me wonder.



I can add the Add to Cart and View Cart buttons back to the web site and get back to you ....I may not get to it until tomorrow. We're having some work done on our network a little later on and it'll interrupt things a bit...

OK ...I just published the web site with a first stab at having the cart functionality in it. It is not a polished style job yet ...I wanted to resolve the issue with conflicting CSS ( or javascript or whatever it is )...
