I think it would be sufficient to summarize that your site sets cookies to keep track of the buyer's shopping cart. More specifically, our cart sets cookies to keep track of what items they've added to their cart, their pricing currency, and (if you sell any tangible goods) their shipping country and postal code. These cookies expire 24 hours after the buyer's last cart view. All cart orders in progress are anonymous until the buyer completes checkout, which is the first time any personal information is disclosed to our system, and we do not store any financial information such as card/bank account details.
If you use our built-in affiliate system, our server also sets a referral cookie when the buyer clicks an affiliate's hop link before we redirect the buyer to your landing page for that hop link; this cookie expires in 6 months and allows us to associate that affiliate's referral with any orders the buyer places with you during the lifespan of that cookie
