Downloads need shipping confirmation in PayPal

I have been using e-Junkie to sell tangible products, but have recently added several items that are downloaded, rather than need to be packaged and shipped. All works fine, except that the downloaded products show up in PayPal as needing to be shipped. Can this be adjusted so that PayPal knows the products are downloads that don't require shipment (as opposed to other products, which do need to be packed and shipped)?



Also, the software generates two emails to the customer, one confirming a purchase and one with the download link. Is there a way to only send the download link email? The purchase confirmation email makes no sense if the download is a free one.

Just make sure you un-check Shipping/Buyer's Address in the settings of each digital product that will not require a shipping address.

In a nutshell, your Common Thank-you Email message is sent to the buyer for every sale, regardless of the item(s) purchased. The [%thankyou_link%] template tag in this message inserts a link to a consolidated thank-you/download page for all items in the buyer's order. You can customize this message template, or delete the template to disable this message, in your Seller Admin > Account Preferences screen.



Digital items also send a product-specific thank-you email message of their own, providing a link to a thank-you/download page for just that item alone. To disable this message, in each product's settings you would check Enable Templated Email and leave the Email Message field blank.
