I am attempting to download my transactions from the "Transactions Log" page by clicking "Download Log", but the report is scrambled when reading it in Excel. I successfully download the .txt file and e-junkie says I should be able to open it in Excel. When I open it in Excel, however, the cells do not populate correctly... when I open the .txt file in Excel the problems are:
1) All of the Row 1 fields (i.e., the headings) are squished together in cell A1 so that it contains the text below in a single cell... all of the other Row 1 cells (B1, C1, etc.) are empty.
"Payment Date (MST) Processed by E-j (MST) Transaction ID Payment Processor E-j Internal Txn ID Payment Status First Name Last Name Payer E-mail Billing Info Payer Phone Card Last 4 Card Type Payer IP Passed Custom Param. Discount Codes Invoice Shipping Info Shipping Phone Shipping Tax eBay Auction Buyer ID Affiliate E-mail Affiliate Name Affiliate ID Currency Item Name Variations/Variants Item Number SKU Quantity Amount Affiliate Share (per item) Download Info Key/Code (if any) eBay Auction ID Payment Acct Country GeoIP Digitals Country Digitals VAT Tangibles Country Tangibles VAT Item VAT Rate Item VAT Country Item VAT Type"
2) the data from sales (Rows 2-50 for example) contain the sales data, but they're not aligned to the correct column. The weird thing is each row doesn't even pick the columns consistently... one row has "City" data most of the time, but sometimes it has my book's subtitle...
How can I open this file so it reads correctly?
Thanks,
M
