I want to get more information on how the discount code works. If I give a customer a discount code, for example, "1FREE" that gives them $10.00 off, when the customer buys the item, is there a place available for them to enter the code? After the code is entered, will it deduct the $10.00 from the item?

The discount code field will appear in the cart for the buyer to enter the code. If you are using the buy now buttons, then after you setup a code for a product, E-junkie will provide you code which will have the discount code entry field included with the button.
