Hi, I'm using buy now buttons to apply discount codes to an item, but the discount isn't being applied. I'm trying to apply code qp5iygso0y to item 1191711.

One thing I noticed when uploading the discount codes is that they pasted in fine (all 1000 codes and on separate lines) but when I came back and loaded the codes, it only showed the first 5 over two lines… Is that normal?

Thanks!

It appears all the codes in the lists you pasted were combined into one long line that got cut off at the max. allowed code length. I presume you're using a Mac, as that sounds like the behavior of an old, known bug in Adobe's Flash Player plugin for Mac browsers that we posted about here:

http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/3538

That bug was last reported in Flash plugin v10.3, and the current plugin is v11.5, so if they've eliminated the bug in recent versions, you might just need to update your Flash plugin to solve the problem:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Once you update and restart your browser, you'll need to delete and re-add your discounts again. Reply here to let us know if updating Flash solved the problem for you, so we'd know for certain that Adobe has indeed fixed the bug in recent versions of Flash for Mac.

If that doesn't fix it for you, then the workaround we've recommended is to use the Mac's standard TextEdit program to compose your list, then copy and paste your text from there into the relevant text field in Admin.

Hi, thanks for the response, I was indeed using a Mac.

I updated both flash and safari but still no luck, so the bug seems to be back. The textedit workaround is basically what I'd tried already and it didn't work either.

It works fine on a pc though. Since I have parallels it isn't such a big deal for me personally.

One further question on something related, is there any way to batch amend (or I guess just delete) discount codes?
