I've search all through here and don't see a similar situation.

I would like to give people selling my product a code to give to potential buyers. The buyer enters the discount code, I give them $5 off to entice them to enter the code, and I get the code so I know who to pay a commission too.

Like an affiliate program, but the people that would sell these don't have websites and I'm really quite leary of the whole affiliate thing in general.

Can this system do this?

I don't want to was anyone's time signing up needlessly as that is kind of the sole reason.

You can create discount codes; this help page explains our discount settings:

At the moment we don't have any way of associating a discount code with any particular affiliate in E-junkie's affiliate system, so you'd be responsible for reviewing your Transaction Log to monitor which codes were used and manually paying out commissions accordingly. You can at least view your Transaction Log for any given date range and download a copy of the log to a spreadsheet file, so e.g. you could sort rows by the discount column and determine total sales for each code used.
