Discount all EXCEPT one item?

Is there a way to set up one product or one category so that discounts don't apply to that product? I have one product in a category of its own & want to offer a percentage discount on the products in the other category only - any way to do that?

The only way to do this would be to create product specific discounts for each of the products you want to provide a discount for. You would not be able to create a discount for all products except one, or create a discount for only one group of items.
