I've been trying for an hour to setup direct link affiliate links to no avail and haven't found anything here to explain it.



- I went to 'Setup Product Specific Affiliate Links'

- I clicked 'Edit Specific Affiliate Settings'

- I clicked 'Affiliate links will link directly to cart'

- I clicked 'Submit'

- I went to the Affiliate admin (where I used my seller account to sign up as an affiliate).

- I only see the 'common affiliate link to my site' but I don't see individual 'buy now buttons' or anywhere to choose them.



Please help.

Direct Link code is not offered to affiliates unless you have specified a product-specific Affiliate Share % on the same screen where you enable "Affiliate links will link directly to cart".

Ah, well, I was hoping to be able to set it to 0%.



I'm basically using affiliate links to test the number of direct clicks through our facebook page to buy a product.



Is there a better way to do this or a work around other than creating a new product for the facebook buy now buttons?

The only suggestion I can think to offer is to use a basic affiliate link rather than placing direct link buttons on your facebook page. There may be other third party tracking code you could use besides our built in affiliate system since your goal is to measure clicks rather than sales for payment.

If I change the %, but we're our only affiliate, will there be any issues down the line or things to worry about?

Not really, you'll get constant reports back and forth on all of your sales that way that say you earned X amount of dollars from the percentage you set ... but that is completely internal and for your own information.



None of your money passes through our system so any affiliate earnings we report are not automatically redirected anywhere and if you don't have any other affiliates you can just ignore that aspect completely.
