Customize buttons on checkout page

Is it possible to customize the buttons that appear on the checkout page and the form order page?



I have some issues with putting graphics on the buttons and want them to be more functional looking (not containing images of credit cards or text summarizing the order). I want them to say "Proceed to Checkout>>" and "Submit".

Also look more plain, or styled like the button on this form.
