Hi all, I want to change the buy-now/add to cart button image from E-junkie standard but was wondering if my image will cause a problem being HTTP and NOT from a secure source i.e. HTTPS: etc.?

I was with E-junkie in 2008 and feels good to be back

Welcome back!

There should not be any security issue with using your own button image. It certainly will not interfere with our system.

The only time you'll have an issue with something like this is if the rest of your webpage is set up with https encryption, in which case your non-secured image would cause an error. If that's the case you should be able to host the image securely from your own website anyway so you'd be fine.

We also offer a free service for hosting small images securely via www.sslpic.com1 -- but don't worry about that a regular image works for you.

One thing we've improved in our new admin that is going to be released soon is how we present links in our button code. Any button you get out of our new admin will use http or https based on the site you're using it on so that there will never be a mixed security error with our code.

OK great! I have a lot of products from different sites so I'm now trying to figure out a "display email address" and "display name" that can be used for all as I don't want buyers getting confused.

I suppose the only way around this is to start a different paid E-junkie subscription for each website? That way I can have a display name and email for the related product.

Thanks

That would do the trick, although you'll save quite a bit if you do come up with a neutral Display Name that could serve all of your websites at once.

You'd also need to provide a different PayPal email for each separate account, you could get around that by assigning multiple email addresses to your existing PayPal account but that will still show the same central PayPal info during checkout.
