Configuring downloads

How do I input and/or change the length of time available to customer for download and the number of downloads available?

You will see those options while editing your product or by pressing "more options" button while adding your product.

I just signed up and tested... MY 'songs' come in late by email and show up as empty white files... click and they bring up ITUNES but are not there to be found!

PayPal's having issues today (see: http://www.pdncommunity.com/blog/article?blog.id=mtsupdates&message.id=152 ) and that's why there was delay.



As for files being blank, make sure you have the files uploaded for your products.

Of course they were uploaded... but when I reloaded them as a ZIP it worked. Is there a SIZEing issue here where they must be zipped when of a certain size (the file in question was a 11.5 audio book chapter) -- if so what is the tipping point. The other question with ZIPping is - IS THERE A WAY to reduce the amount of copies a customer can make from a zip file... at present it seems infinite. thanks!

There is no filesize limit. Files are downloaded exactly as you've uploaded them.

We have no control over what a buyer does with the file. We just ensure that the download link expires after the set number or downloads/time period specified by you.

then as far as you know you have no idea why the first time... when I downloaded the file as an MP3 it came out as a white file and the second time, when I downloaded it as a ZIP that it came through properly? Has this ever happened before?



Thanks. And I wasn't asking about what people do with the file after they buy it... but rather if there is technology to limit the number of times people can UNzip it. For example, there are ways to encrypt Mp3s... and the like.
