I have been having several customers a week having issues with not being able to checkout after they have added multiple items to their cart.. the checkout button disappears and there is a greyed out checkout text no button.. I think this happens after the list goes past the bottom of the javascript window. I tell them there is a workaround by clicking CTRL- several times until the text shrinks and the button appears.

EDIT:

I tested it in FireFox 4.01 and seems to work OK, but in Internet Explorer 8 the checkout button has a tendency to be outside the javascript window and then in zooming text/window more it just disappears... just the :Checkout:".

Is there a fix to this problem? I don't know how many customers I am losing or have abandoned their cart to this issue. I am using the standard method supplied by e-junkie instructions and have not customized my cart settings at all.

My site is

Thanks, Tracey

Thanks so much for your reply and looking into this.

The CSS sheet you referred to is an external file I believe related to Blogger's own default templates we pick from. I don't know how to change it. I tried the ADD CSS in the template designer to override (opened the CSS file into notepad edited and pasted in the template designer in the Add CSS window) it had no effect, I probably didn't do it right .... and is probably beyond me LOL! I have no knowledge in CSS.

I did however switch to the old Minima template ( ICK! .. as I can't change it how I want it using the template designer) and the problem resolved in IE. I have kept it like this.

I tried just about ALL the templates Blogger has for their template designer and ALL have this problem. In a nutshell, pretty much all the older "after 2006" templates work but the new ones don't.

I understand this is really beyond your responsibility, any help would be appreciated. I am assuming correctly it is the actual Blogger templates and their associated CSS widgets that are affecting the cart?

Thanks, Tracey

I'll ask our Developers to investigate and see if there's anything we can do from our end to override that behavior in newer Blogger templates. :^)
