After a product is added to the shopping cart, there is a blank under the words "Checkout with:"

I am registered with PayPal and I was just wondering how to go to the next step so that a client can pay once they get to the shopping cart.

If you don't enter your PayPal email the first time your fill your profile, our system disables PayPal for the account. You can enable it (PayPal Standard) from Admin > Cart Settings.
