Hi,

I've got a client who is understandably irritated that he is attempting to buy a product from my store using his Mastercard (I have Paypal Pro) but has received a few errors before finally being charged, unfortunately he's unsure of the error messages. Only thing is he has been charged 3 times, I've only received one payment.

I understand this could be a Paypal issue and I'll be contacting them shortly but can anyone shed any light on why this may be happening? I thought an error would mean no payment would be taken.

Thanks in advance

Neil

An error message appearing after the buyer submits their card details using PayPal Pro Direct Payment would indeed normally mean the payment did not go through. We can't readily guess what might have happened without knowing the exact error messages or at least the numeric error codes the buyer saw.

If you're seeing multiple orders for the buyer in your E-junkie Transaction Log, we can ask Development to look for anything unusual if you send the Transaction IDs for affected orders to our Support team:

If you're seeing only one order for the buyer in your E-junkie Transaction Log, then we only got one payment-approval response from PayPal, so any duplicate payments you're seeing at PayPal's end would be very weird indeed, and we'd suggest contacting PayPal Business Support regarding that anomaly.
