Changing currency in GoogleCheckout

Hi,



I sell computer software and I want to sell in USD. But because I'm living in the UK with a verified UK bank account, GoogleCheckout automatically defaults to Pound Sterling (GBP). As a result, the transaction fails because there appears to be a glitch somewhere in the system and the buyer is led to a blank e-junkie page. I've configured E-junkie to use USD, and it works fine for PayPal users. But GoogleCheckout users keep getting a blank screen. I understand it is because of a conflict in currencies.



I've contacted Google and the reply I got refereed to changing the value attribute in the button code to USD. But I'm guessing this is out of my control as buttons are generated by e-Junkie? So is there an easy option to fix this so I can sell in USD through GoogleCheckout? Is there something I can change or do I need to sign up and verify a new GoogleCheckout account?

Your E-junkie pricing currency must match the basis currency of your payment processor account, whether the latter is Google, PayPal, etc. I.e., you would need to find some way of basing your Google Checkout account in USD, in order to have E-junkie prices also listed in USD.



BTW, I do know that with PayPal (and I think Google as well?), regardless of your cart pricing currency, any buyer worldwide can still pay in their native currency; PayPal will simply tender their payment and do the currency exchange automatically.
