Cart overlay not working on Wix site

I have a website on Wix, and am testing out the e-junkie cart buttons, but my cart won't show up in an overlay. It only opens in a new tab every time. I've tried entering the code in a few different places, to no avail. I tried the option of adding it into the head, body, and also opened the developer tools to input it where Wix says to input javascript. I have a feeling the issue is that the script won't work in Wix as is, and maybe needs something added to it. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, the only way the Wix platform provides for pasting any custom HTML code or scripts will not allow our overlay-style cart to work, so you would have to accept our cart appearing in its own separate browser window/tab.

On the subject of carts, is it possible to stop the Add To Cart button from making the cart instantly appear? So that they don’t see it until hitting View Cart.

There's no way to do that -- for good reason, as it would likely confuse buyers who'd think the Add to Cart button was broken if they clicked it and nothing visibly happened.
